LIGMAN partners with LIGHTCARE Denmark

LIGMAN is delighted to announce we have signed a partnership with LIGHTCARE for the manufacturing and promotion of a comprehensive range of professional evidence-based healthcare and circadian lighting solutions. LIGMAN President and Group CEO, Sakchai Manawongsakul and Claus Søgaard, LIGHTCARE Owner and CEO signed the commercial deal on the 18th December with immediate effect.

LIGHTCARE are Denmark’s leading knowledge-based innovation company, for over 10-years specialising in unique light concepts for a wide range of areas, including health and care, trade and office, education and industry. This partnership means all the specialised systems’ hardware and software will be manufactured in-house within our two companies.

Claus Søgaard spoke of this collaboration: “I am very excited about this investment and commercial deal. I have known Mr. Sakchai Manawongsakul and done business together with him for more than 12 years now. Our DNA is similar; we both see very big synergy opportunities to work more strategic together and therefore I know that LIGMAN is the right partner for future growth in the Lighting business. LIGHTCARE is inspired by the health importance of the right light at the right time to improve the circadian for all human beings. The software and hardware development builds on a unique collaboration with researchers, sector users, circadian rhythm and sleep specialists.

The research already shows that the LIGHTCARE solution will boost and block hormone-production and reset our circadian rhythm. We know that properly dosed light creates better working conditions, better productivity, reduce sickness absence, work against winter depressions, reduces the need for many types of medication while at the same time achieving major energy savings when it´s controlled the right way.

Telensa and LIGMAN Announce strategic partnership to provide smart street lighting and smart city sensing to Asia Pacific market

On December 13^th 2019, Telensa and LIGMAN announced that they have signed a partnership agreement to combine leading aesthetic LED luminaires and wireless controls. With energy and carbon reduction increasingly in the forefront of many cities’ agendas, switching lighting to LED is an obvious next step. Including wireless controls maximises the benefits of LEDs, generating further energy and maintenance cost-savings, and futureproofing further smart city sensing.

Jakarta Flagship store opening

On the 6th December 2019 in Jakarta we proudly opened the new LIGMAN Indonesia Flagship Store to add to our growing portfolio of Flagship Stores and Showrooms worldwide.

The Jakarta Flagship Store is built over 1200-metres and includes both an internal showroom as well as external landscape areas and displays

The opening event was attended by around eighty invited guests, including clients, Government officials, lighting designers, media, architects and consultants and was officially opened by LIGMAN President and Group CEO, Sakchai Manawongsakul whom struck the ceremonial gong to symbolically open the Store, followed by a welcoming address from Otniel Haniel, General Manager of LIGMAN Indonesia.

The ceremony also encompassed LIGMAN’s official launch of our IoT LIGHTCONNECT^TM for the Indonesian market, with a presentation and Q+A from LIGMAN Global Technical Director, Trevor Leighton.

Mr Sakchai Manawongsakul commented on this important launch; “The economy of Indonesia is the largest in Southeast Asia and is one of the emerging market economies of the world. We see this as a hugely important market for smart cities and connected lighting”

Project – Parliament House, Adelaide, Australia

LIGMAN are delighted to showcase this stunning project for Adelaide’s Parliament House achieved through our valued exclusive Australian partners, Efficient Lighting Systems (ELS) and H.I. Lighting in South Australia. Arguably one of South Australia’s most iconic landmark buildings, Parliament house is a heritage listed building situated in the heart of the Adelaide Central Business District.

Swanbury Penglase Architects and System Solutions Engineers were given the task of enhancing this historic building to highlight the facade whilst being sympathetic to the many original features of this important and well-known building. This has been achieved using LIGMAN QUANTUM 2 RGBW Floodlight fittings with DMX control to change the colour and ambience as required.

With a subtle use of colour, the building façade can change to mirror the theme of the riverside area close by, as well as being available to highlight special occasions such as Australia Day or other significant celebrations/events. At night this building now comes alive and this once hidden gem is now a spectacular part of the Adelaide skyline that will wow for years to come.

Visit by students of Singapore Polytechnic

On the 19^th November, LIGMAN Singapore organised a talk at our Singapore Flagship Store for over thirty students from Singapore Polytechnic’s Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) course.

Steve Aries, LIGMAN’s Technical & Training Manager and a highly respected and experienced lighting designer, was LIGMAN’s presenter for the education day and the topics he covered encompassed Lighting Basics through to Product Application as well as live product demonstrations and Q&A session.

The event was hosted by Allan Quek and Koh Eng Lee; General Manager and Sales Manager respectively at LIGMAN Singapore and light refreshments were provided throughout the day.

For November 2019, LIGMAN would like to announce the following changes to our Indoor Lighting Portfolio due to driver and technology improvements:

1/ NEVADA – Product reference NE-60834 has been discontinued and is replaced by a new product; reference NE-60836 with Constant voltage (CV) 24V Driver.
2/ UTAH – Product reference UT-50571 has been discontinued.
3/ OREGON – New addition to the OREGON Range: product reference OR-60896 in RGBW, Constant voltage (CV) 24V driver, Class III, supplied without remote driver/IP box. See options for remote drivers listed within the OREGON family.
