LIGMAN Achieves 60% Reduction in Plastic Packaging Ahead of Schedule

In August 2024, LIGMAN set a clear and ambitious target: to reduce plastic use in packaging by at least 60% through the adoption of biodegradable alternatives. ↗ 

As of September 2025, we are pleased to announce that this milestone has already been achieved. By replacing plastic bubble wrap with biodegradable honeycomb paper and implementing other eco-friendly packaging innovations, LIGMAN has successfully met its target to reduce plastic in packaging by 60%.

This accomplishment underscores our commitment to sustainability and demonstrates that, with clear goals and dedicated effort, meaningful progress can be realised.

Looking ahead, our work continues. We remain firmly focused on achieving our next objective: ensuring that 75% of all packaging products are biodegradable by the end of 2025. Whilst challenges remain, our teams are working diligently to meet this goal and further reduce the environmental impact of our operations.
