“Revitalising a historic wall which lines a park and local football field”
Julivallen is a public park and sports field in the city of Höganäs, Sweden. An old red brick wall that once enclosed a sports field still lines this public park.
ABACUS 1 surface facade luminaires light the perimeter wall adjacent to a residential area. The luminaires were installed to the narrow sections of the wall, emphasising those areas when illuminated.
Prior to the upgrade the area was dark and felt unsafe in the evenings. The warm (3000k) lighting provides a more welcoming atmosphere for visitors and neighbouring residents.
