Turtle Friendly Lighting

佛罗里达鱼类和野生动物保护委员会（FWC）提出了三项关键标准：
尽量低
安装夹具尽可能低，并使用所需的最低瓦数 [6]
尽量长
使用长波（大于560nm）光源，如琥珀色、橙色和红色LEDs. [2]
尽量遮光
使用符合或超过完全遮光的固定装置，以防止灯或发光透镜直接可见 [3]
遗憾的是，目前尚无现成的解决方案可直接满足FWC的指导原则，所以在此类项目中，专家和专业人士的参与和建议必不可少。然而，令人宽慰的是，LIGMAN目录中的所有“海龟友好型”照明灯具均已通过认证，其光源仅在可见光谱中发出560纳米以上波长的光，完全符合FWC的相关规定。 [4]
佛罗里达州每年有成千上万只海龟幼崽因人工照明迷路死亡。这已成为海龟保护的一大难题。 [5]
除了FWC海龟照明指南外，遵循当地的照明规范也同样重要。这样可以确保受保护区域内的海滨开发项目不会对当地生态系统造成负面影响。
