Announcement – Non chromium based powder coating

LIGMAN is always striving towards improving the manufacturing of high quality light fittings. Increasing the sustainability of the entire process, from raw materials to finished product.

So we are pleased to announce as of the 14th of May 2024, all luminaire parts will be non-chrome pre-treated. Eliminating chromium from luminaire production. 

This is a major leap and milestone in our commitment to sustainable practices.

Chromium produces toxic solid wastes and exhaust gas when applied. Eliminating this chemical from our production is beneficial for many reasons:
  • Pre-treatment of parts before finishing is free from pollutants and hazardous materials.
  • Healthier working environment with less exposure to toxic chemicals. 
  • Cleaner waste waster and discharge from production.
  • Meet future regulations demanding clean production in global marketplace.

Pre-treatment before powder coating ensures high corrosion resistance, and no reduction in quality by removing chromium.
