LIGMAN products are manufactured using high specification materials. All Luminaires undergo NON CHROME Pre- treatment as per EN 12206-1 to ensure high quality Anti-corrosive Pre-Treatment. As final Finish Ligman’s large paint shop using Pure Polyester powder as coating material. Our specialized processes suiting different categories ensure that our Luminaires can withstand the weather conditions, according to the comprehensive classification for corrosive environments and the durability of paints and protective coatings ISO 12944.
LIGMAN’s Coating Patterns Table for Corrosion Classification according to ISO 12944
Note: Corrosivity Category C5 can be supported and applied according to customer’s special customisation request and as required.
LIGMAN’s Powder Coat process is controlled under ISO 9001 production standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards. The first layer of the powder coating is chemically treated with environmentally friendly technology (Non-Chromate) to prevent corrosion and enhance the adhesion of the paint to the metal parts. After Pre Treatment, parts are moved to powder coating process. Powder coating carried out in controlled environment conducive for powder coating. In this process the primer plus powder or direct powder spray (Depending on category treatment requirement) is applied with pure polyester powder paint using an electrostatic process. Final stage is Polymerization process through baking with preset programmed time and temperature to ensure full polymerisation.
To ensure the quality of the painting process, we inspect the produced parts by accelerated corrosion test method using Salt Spray method (ASTM B117) in LIGMAN’s laboratory, which meets the criteria of the test duration according to ISO 12944.
We confirm that LIGMAN products can withstand harsh environments according to ISO 12944 standards under LIGMAN’s quality control of coating processes which are environmentally friendly.
