Located in Stockholm, Sweden, Eleonoraskolan (Eleonora School) has been developed as a modern educational facility designed to support both learning and community interaction. The project reflects a strong emphasis on functionality, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
The architectural approach focuses on creating a balanced and accessible environment, where indoor and outdoor spaces are carefully connected to encourage movement and interaction. As an educational setting with extended hours of use, lighting plays a critical role in ensuring safety, clarity, and visual comfort throughout the site.
The lighting design by Exengo adopts a refined and functional approach, integrating illumination seamlessly within the architectural context. Carefully selected luminaires provide clear visibility across circulation areas, entrances, and outdoor spaces, while maintaining a comfortable and glare-controlled environment.
A selection of lighting solutions, including ODESSA Cluster column projectors and AUSTIN surface facade luminaires, has been utilized to achieve a cohesive lighting scheme across the project. These luminaires contribute to both functional illumination and subtle architectural enhancement, helping define key areas and support intuitive wayfinding.
The result is a well-balanced lighting environment that enhances usability and safety, while reinforcing the overall architectural identity of the school.
