Project – South Melbourne Life Saving Club, Victoria, Australia

Share:

LIGMAN’s valued exclusive Australian partners, Efficient Lighting Systems (ELS) recently completed this stunning project in South Melbourne. The South Melbourne Life Saving Club is based in the City of Port Philip which is one of Melbourne’s most popular tourist areas and houses some of Melbourne’s greatest unparalleled architectural buildings.

The club provides an important service to its members and the community and the building had to meet local design & sustainability standards.

LIGMAN RADO and MARVIK fittings feature throughout the external aspect of the club. RADO was selected to illuminate the steps and MARVIK serves as
a decorative feature light creating subtle illumination for the walkways. LIGMAN ensured that the luminaires were treated specifically for corrosive environments. The luminaires are manufactured with a  die-cast aluminium housing and are pre-treated before powder coating, ensuring the highest possible corrosion resistance. This process ensures that LIGMAN luminaires are ideal for any coastal application.

MARVIK was chosen as a lighting wall feature on the interior also, complementing the exterior design by mounting onto an industrial concrete style wall.
