New Video – LISSE

Can you imagine applying computer pixels to a building façade? Where you not only have control over the brightness and colour of each individual dot, but how they interact with neighbouring pixels to generate images and convey information? LISSE is an LED pixel for media and façade lighting that makes this possible.
LISSE is easy to install and its modular design enables swapping out damaged dots without replacing the entire system. Utilising DMX for control of each pixel, the auto-address system intelligently addresses each point after the first luminaire has been assigned. You can learn more about LISSE in our latest video.

Project – Galerie de Centre Commerciale de BLAGNAC, Toulouse, France

Centre Commercial Blagnac is a shopping center located in the Toulouse suburb of Blagnac, in the Haute-Garonne region of France. Commissioned by KLEPIERRE, a major developer of shopping malls throughout France and Europe, Centre Commercial Blagnac hosts over 135 stores and restaurants, 15 movie theatres and aboveground parking.

The shopping complex design takes inspiration from the greater Toulouse aeronautics and space industry. Architects KARDHAM Toulouse have incorporated large canopies which shade coloured glass entrances, and giant skylights to bring natural light inside the mall.

Lighting designers B.E. Technisphère utilised a series of LIGMAN interior luminaires to support the architectural concept and illuminate the common areas of the shopping complex.

MARYS recessed downlights and CEDAR multiple recessed directional downlights were selected for the perforated bulkheads used in the food court.
Whilst a combination of BRIGHTON pendant & recessed fittings and NYBRO pendant & recessed luminaires where used throughout the common areas. The square frame and linear forms of these luminaire families enabled a seamless integration of lighting within the common areas, which was made up of sculptural louvres and curved fins.

The Centre Commercial Blagnac attracts over seven million visitors annually and is a vital location for shopping, dining, and entertainment in the region of Toulouse.

Project – Church, Stockholm, Sweden

turtle friendly lighting
One of the largest churches in Stockholm and designed in the National Romantic Style. This Church dates back to 1914 and is a heritage listed cultural building in Sweden. Its 32m high nave also makes it the highest in Scandinavia.

As is often the case with heritage projects such as this church in Stockholm. A non-evasive solution is preferable to prevent disturbing or modifying the existing building.

ODESSA 11 Floodlights and Projectors were selected to evenly illuminate the building façade. The precise beam control of the ODESSA range provided an efficient solution, avoiding hotspots or light spill. The 2700K colour temperature enhances the red brick architecture characteristic of the period.

Regarded internationally in architectural circles for not having any major changes since completion. The Church is an icon of the Swedish Art Nouveau era and National Romantic Style.
