LIGMAN’s European Headquarters is the home of a new, impressive showroom, featuring all the latest luminaire ranges and showcasing the very best

Established over two years ago and located in the Czech Republic just north of Prague in Přestanov, Ústí nad Labem, LIGMAN’s 6,500m2 European Headquarters is the location of our European factory and showroom and is the main centre for distribution in Europe. QUARTER is one of the latest additions to LIGMAN’s expanding portfolio of product families. High lumen output and a variety of technical optical solutions ensure that QUARTER is suitable for a wide range of applications

QUARTER has an elegant, curved profile, and has been designed to be either a surface mounted or post top area luminaire. Both ranges are available in two sizes and post top versions can be mounted on one or two sides, offering a lumen package up to 20,150 lm.

We also offer a very wide range of professional, optical solutions to meet all your design requirements. If your design requires a more specific and unique optical solution, we offer LIGMAN MicroVOS™ (Micro Variable Optical System). our unique technology enabling customers to specify specifically tailored optics.

Wall mounted QUARTER luminaires have received the seal of approved by the International Dark Sky Association (IDA). Project – Forum Shantiniketan Mall, Bangalore, India

LIGMAN bring drama and colour to Forum Shantiniketan Mall, one of India’s largest and most exciting retail experiences, developed by Prestige Group. This inspiring space, which covers 60,000m2, also houses a 3 storey microbrewery, built to host engaging performances from all over the world, a 272 seat auditorium and theatres and art galleries, all designed to enhance the visitor experience.

RGBW versions of LIGHTALK linear luminaires illuminate the facades at night, creating theatrical light shows and attracting visitors to the Mall. LIGMAN’s technical team completed the programming and commissioning of 246 luminaires. The installation of simple touch button control panels enables the facility management team to change the scenes for special occasions and events easily.

A total of 195 surface mounted LADOR floodlights were used to light the exterior facade fins and MIC floodlights were installed in the vast interior atrium space. ODESSA projectors feature in the surrounding landscaped areas to provide subtle illumination to the surrounding trees and shrubs.

Project – Le Nessay Hotel, Saint- Briac sur Mer, France

LIGMAN France alongside Prelude Rennes delivered this enchanting project set in one of the most breathtaking bays of Brittany, in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer,
pearl of the Emerald Coast.
The Nessay Hotel, a building erected in 1886 by Count Maurice de Villebresme, is a real local institution and recently underwent a transformation from an old family home to a beautiful luxury hotel and restaurant.

The hotel is situated on the edge of the peninsular, overlooking the sea. LIGMAN luminaires were selected by the client because they were able to be treated specifically for corrosive environments. The luminaires are manufactured with a die-cast aluminium housing and are pre-treated before powder coating, ensuring the highest possible corrosion resistance.

MATRIX surface mounted luminaires with various beam angles were installed to create various effects on the different building facades. The ornate façade of the main hotel was illuminated with KIOS in ground up lights also.

There are 3 types of motion sensor:
1. Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR) which works by detecting body heat and movement.
2. Ultrasonic can measure the distance to an object by using sound waves. It measures distance by sending out a sound wave at a specific frequency and listening for that sound wave to bounce back
3. Microwave operate differently to PIR sensors, by projecting microwaves, which bounce off surfaces and return to a sensor within the detector.

Halogen

Halogen lamps are an efficient light bulb that produces light from the flow of electricity. Halogen lights are used when filming but are also used in residential and commercial lighting, as well as in motor vehicles. The advantage of halogen lamp is that they are small, lightweight, easy to produce, and instantaneously start up (no need to warm up). The disadvantages of halogen are relatively short operational life, can heat up to high temperatures, are sensitive to vibration and the luminous flux is less intense than in other types of lamps. So, halogen lamp is not suitable for underwater lighting.

LED

Underwater LED luminaires were a game changer. LEDs do not have a filament and essentially tiny light producing semiconductors. They have built-in heat sinks to keep them cool, while also enhancing their brightness and useful life. The improvement in luminous efficacy (conversion of electricity into light) has resulted in wattage becoming less important than the amount of light the lamp is able to provide.

Underwater lighting is very popular for the reasons mentioned above, however ultimately it depends on the end users requirements when specifying underwater outdoor lighting for swimming pools.

Lighting Distributions Types of Streetlight LED

The appropriate amount of light can relieve the stress. If we take an excessive amount of light or encounter frequent light disturbances, it can create sn accumulated frustration and stress to human. LED Advantages

1. Long Lifetime
When compared to traditional lighting solutions, LEDs have a much longer lifespan. The average LED has a rated life of more than 50,000 operating hours – more than 40 times as long as the average incandescent bulb!
